Welcome to the Muncie Artist Guild Blog. We are a group of artists with roots in East Central Indiana. Our general purpose is to improve our own understanding and skills in our chosen art media and to promote art and art appreciation throughout our communities. We seek opportunities to learn from artists outside our area, and we hope to grow our membership as we learn from and inspire one another.

Learn Blogging - March MAG Meeting
Tonight's meeting was amazing and you really missed out if you were not here.
Jill Palumbo, local jewelry-making sensation, shared her blogging know how, and everyone will be heading home to make their blogging dreams come true.
We met professional artist, Bill Inman, who has been painting for more than thirty years.
We also made great plans for the coming year.
Upcoming events for our group:
Liz Guntle, artist educator, will be sharing her classroom and kiln in April. We will be making slump bowls and pot huggers.
Later on we will be revving up for Minnetrista's Garden Fair and participating in hands-on workshops.
JOIN us on Facebook for more artsy fun.

Silk Dying Workshop with Sylvia Gray
Textile Artist, Sylvia Gray |
Our Muncie Artist Guild meeting on June 6* was a wonderful
and exciting program with guest artist/presenter, Sylvia Gray, from Westfield , IN. Sylvia joined us for a “hands-on”
demonstration of silk, paint and dye. All those who attended this workshop listened
to Sylvia's presentation and then worked on one large piece
collectively.
We send a big "Thank you!" to artist, Sylvia Gray
and also to the members on the MAG programs committee Liz, Sylvia, Michelle,
Julie, Jean, Chic and Sharon. We all
certainly enjoyed this unique, artistic learning experience!
* The Muncie Artist Guild generally meets at Minnetrista Cultural Center in
the Cantina Room on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please contact us at: muncieartistguildblog@gmail.com
